Australia have added a young member, Archie Schiller to their squad for the third Test of the series against India. He had earlier practised with the team ahead of the 1st Test in Adelaide.
Ahead of the Boxing Day Test against India that starts on December 26, Australia have added seven-year-old leg-spinner Archie Schiller to their squad as the 15th member of the team. Schiller had earlier practised with the members of the Australian cricket team ahead of the 1st Test in Adelaide and it was already confirmed that the leggie will be part of the team for the third Test. The news was confirmed by Aussie skipper Tim Paine at BUPA Family Day at Yarra Park.
Schiller was informed about his inclusion in the team in the month of October when Australian team was in UAE, facing Pakistan. The leggie had then told Justin Langer, Australia’s head coach, that he would get Virat Kohli out. In a talk with Cricket.com.au, it was also revealed that Archie wants to captain Australia.
